As we await the filming of the anticipated Richard Pryor biopic film; Mike Epps has added another project to his current resume. This time around, Epps will leave the comedy alone for a new film starring the one and only Bruce Willis in ‘Death Wish’.
Mike Epps is joining Bruce Willis in Eli Roth’s remake of Death Wish for MGM/Paramount. Epps will play Dr. Chris Salgado, a playboy doctor and close friend of Willis’ character Paul Kersey. Kersey’s life has been destroyed by a violent crime against his wife and daughter. Frustrated that the bad guys for the crime were never brought to justice, Kersey starts hunting them down. Roger Birnbaum is producing the film. Epps will star alongside Dean Norris and Vincent D’Onofrio who were recently added to the cast. Production is taking place in Montreal and Chicago.
In response to the news, Epps went on to say, “I thank god that he gave me the talent to switch lanes in the serious A list acting game not just comedy I give my urban up bringing the credit ! #respected work with a list actors!!” on his Instagram page.
