Last year during the passing of singer Prince; Arsenio Hall ended up apart of the headlines when singer Sinead O’Connor took to her social media pages to accuse Hall as Prince’s drug supplier. Now the story has changed from O’Connor’s side. According to O’Connor the whole thing about Hall being responsible for the death of Prince is untrue. Arsenio and team look to now dismiss an earlier lawsuit against O’Connor.
Sinead O’Connor has apologized to Arsenio Hall after accusing the talk show host of being the one to supply Prince with drugs. About a week after Prince died in Minnesota, O’Connor wrote on Facebook that the singer was a “long time hard drug user” who “got his drugs over the decades” from Hall. Hall’s reps then filed a $ 5 million defamation lawsuit in which O’Connor was described as a “desperate, attention-seeker … now known perhaps as much for her bizarre, unhinged internet rants as for her music.” Soon after, O’Connor ridiculed Hall and his lawsuit with another inflammatory post: “I do not like drugs killing musicians. And I do not like Arsenio Hall. He can suck my dick. That is if he isn’t too busy sucking someone else’s dick,” she wrote. Now, some 300 days later, she’s retracted her initial claims. “I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death,” she told TMZ. “I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally.”
