Ice Cube took to Twitter yesterday to clear the air about rumors of his son O’shea Jackson Jr. and DC Young Fly remaking 90’s classic Friday. The internet has made several memes suggesting that O’shea Jr., and DC were possibly going to make another Friday which Cube went on to send out a Tweet denying the film with the two rising talents happening; “This is fake. My son doesn’t have a Facebook account. Can’t mess with a classic.” Now today Cube kept Friday talks going by suggesting that he was very much interested to make it happen but is waiting for New Line Cinema.
We had a meeting. Can't do Last Friday unless we can do it right. Ball is in New Line Cinema's hands. Bat is in mine pic.twitter.com/IEL6QhOUqv

Ice Cube tweeted out a major update on that subject today, along with a piece of art depicting the cast of the original stoner comedy in a sort of “Last Supper” situation. Apparently he’s already talked to New Line Cinema about making Last Friday, but only if he “can do it right.” For a lot of people, doing it “right” would require finding a way to bring comedian Chris Tucker back in to the fold. In case you’ve forgotten, the Friday franchise is a trilogy as it currently stands.
